My first governors cup was on January 19, 2013. It took place at the SCMS cafeteria. it was very early Saturday, at 0700. Catherine, Laura,and Mattea were already there signing in, for tasting and/or quick recall. They waited for me while I signed in for testing, then we walked to our table. We had some breakfast Ms. Creech brought for us, and discussed very important topics such as, "can I have your 'a hard day's night' pictures", to "yea, but you have to give me every black widow picture in your sticker book". after a while of that we had to go and take our tests. There was a Spongebob question, and a super easy question about a triple beam balance. We said that if we didn't get it right, Dr. Thompson would take our heads off.
After testing, we went back to our table and Ms. Creech was there and we were like "okay whatever". We talked for awhile, then Mattea got the idea to play cards. We played several different games, then decided to play Blackjack and gamble our snacks. Ms. Creech never said a word. It got super hardcore when Emilee bet a pencil. Mattea kept winning. After that we got called for quick recall. We lost both of our matches, so we didn't have anything to do for three hours. So, we got Mattea's dad to take us to her house. When we got there, we walked down to her grandma and grandpa's house. When we got there we went to see her dogs: John, Paul, George, Smokey and Little Bear. Then we went inside and had an epic battle of mass proportions with toy guns. Then we left. we went back to her house and played very intense games of Candyland. And me and Mattea cheated when Catherine left the room. After that we went to the park. We walked through the tunnel there and we saw a horse. The horse was following us and was it little bit creepy. Mattea named it Phillip. After that we went to the pond and fed ducks Doritos. The best duck there was the one with the mohawk. After that we had to go back to SCMS. Then we got awards, well Mattea, Abby and Elise got awards. Then we had to go home.
My first governors cup was so much fun. I would love t do it again.
